Stephen Gray

Profile

Stephen acts as coverage counsel for large international and domestic insurers, offering his clients strategic advice and representation on all manner of insurance coverage matters.

In his coverage practice at DWF, Stephen advises on a diverse range of policies, including directors’ and officers’ liability, professional errors and omissions, commercial property, builder’s risk, commercial general liability, and business interruption policies.

Called to the Ontario Bar in 2017, Stephen has developed a strong record of counselling insurers and policyholders across a wide spectrum of complex issues, while also successfully litigating high-stakes disputes. Stephen has also defended a multitude of tort claims including personal injury, conservation authority, occupiers’ liability, professional negligence, commercial building, condominium, and construction claims.

Stephen graduated from the University of Kansas with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in journalism and then earned his JD from Osgoode Hall Law School prior to his call. Outside of the office, Stephen is a sports enthusiast who enjoys golfing and regularly attending tennis and golf tournaments worldwide.
