February 26, 2026 (Toronto, ON) – DWF is proud to announce that Mouna Hanna, Partner in the firm’s Toronto office, has been named President of Canadian Defence Lawyers (CDL), one of Canada’s most respected national associations for the civil defence lawyers.
This prestigious appointment recognizes Mouna’s outstanding contributions to the legal profession and her leadership within Canada’s defence and insurance litigation community. CDL is widely regarded as the premier organization for defence counsel in Canada, known for its exceptional advocacy, education, and professional development programs.
Mouna Hanna is a Partner at DWF and serves as the Canadian Chair of the firm’s Cyber, Privacy and Data Protection Group. She represents public and private sector clients in matters involving cybersecurity incidents, privacy breaches, and professional negligence, frequently acting as both breach coach and defence counsel. Her practice includes advising clients on compliance with federal and provincial privacy legislation, as well as representing organizations and professionals in regulatory investigations and complaints.
