Profile
Elizabeth Bulbrook is a Senior Associate with DWF’s National Aboriginal Law Practice Group. For over a decade, she has worked on complex Aboriginal, environmental and constitutional litigation; acting as litigation counsel and strategic advisor on high-profile matters advancing indigenous title, rights and governance.
Before joining DWF in 2026, Elizabeth served as Managing Lawyer at a boutique Indigenous law firm, where she led litigation strategy and multidisciplinary legal teams in proceedings before the British Columbia Supreme Court, the British Columbia Court of Appeal, the Federal Court of Appeal, and the Supreme Court of Canada. Her practice has encompassed historic and ongoing rights and title litigation, governance and jurisdictional advisory work, and the management of large-scale litigation files, including oversight of e-discovery processes leveraging AI-enhanced document disclosure.
Elizabeth brings a distinctive interdisciplinary perspective to her practice. Prior to her legal career, she worked as an Archaeologist (and Underwater Archaeologist) leading archaeological impact assessments, traditional use studies, and heritage resource management initiatives — experience that grounds her deep understanding of the historical, cultural, and evidentiary foundations of Aboriginal rights and title assertions. She also recently served as an adjunct professor at the University of British Columbia and taught courses on Aboriginal Law, Reconciliation and Resource Management.
Outside of work, Elizabeth can be found cycling out to Spanish Banks with her beagle Sadie, timing their trips to catch the dog beach at low tide.
