Claire Qiu

Profile

Prior to joining DWF in 2026, Claire was an associate at a prominent litigation boutique in Vancouver, with experience in civil and commercial litigation, professional regulation, insurance defence, and estate litigation. She clerked at the Supreme Court of British Columbia from 2023-2024 for a group of six justices. Claire has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia.

Claire obtained her Bachelor of Arts at Simon Fraser University in 2020, with a major in political science, an extended minor in French, and a minor in philosophy. She completed her Juris Doctor from the Peter A. Allard School of Law at the University of British Columbia in 2023. In law school, she participated in the Gale Moot and worked as a research assistant in the areas of criminal law and judicial remedies. She has edited French-language articles for publication in the Canadian Journal of Family Law.

In her spare time, Claire enjoys watching NHL games, lifting weights, and discovering new restaurants for her and her family to try.
