Gabriella Swanson

Profile

Gabriella is an Associate in the Toronto office. Following the completion of her articles with DWF, she joined the firm and is developing a broad litigation practice with a focus on insurance defence, cybersecurity and privacy, and historical sexual abuse claims.

Gabriella earned her Juris Doctor from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2026. During law school, she served as Manager of the Dalhousie Student Advocacy Service, advocating for students in academic and disciplinary proceedings. She also completed a semester abroad in Belfast, Northern Ireland, broadening her global perspective and exposure to different legal systems.

Prior to law school, Gabriella obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Entrepreneurship from Saint Mary’s University and successfully built and sold her own small business. Concurrently, she worked in post-secondary education, supporting students with disabilities in accessing equitable employment opportunities.

Drawing on her diverse experiences, Gabriella brings an entrepreneurial mindset to every file. Known for her positive attitude and empathetic approach, she enjoys tackling complex challenges and helping clients navigate difficult situations with confidence.

Outside of work, Gabriella enjoys camping, hiking, and enthusiastically collecting more hobbies than one person needs. She spends her spare time with her friends, family, and two cats.
