Paul Prosterman DWF in 2026. He has over three decades of experience in litigation and disputes, specializing in insurance law and product liability. Licensed to practise law in Quebec, Ontario, and Saskatchewan, Paul advises insurers on coverage issues, policy interpretation, and compliance, while representing them in complex coverage disputes and litigation defence. His expertise spans professional liability, directors’ and officers’ liability, cyber liability, representations and warranties insurance, general liability and property. He has a strong track record in managing books of insurance business and handling primary, excess, and run-off claims.

Paul is recognized nationally for his work in directors’ and officers’ insurance, multijurisdictional litigation, particularly in pharmaceutical and consumer product liability matters, including large-scale recalls and class actions involving life sciences and healthcare companies. He has been consistently ranked in Best Lawyers in Canada and the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory for his leadership in insurance law, product liability, and class action litigation. In 2025, Paul was named Lawyer of the Year (Quebec) for directors’ and officers’ liability in Best Lawyers, and recognized for insurance law, class actions and product liability.

Outside of work, Paul enjoys travel, physical training, skiing, and spending time with family and friends. A current challenge is taking up golf.
