Yasmine joined DWF in 2026, having previously practised as an associate at a leading international law firm. In that role, she advised clients on complex cyber incidents, privacy matters, and insurance coverage issues.

Yasmine has extensive experience managing high‑stakes data breach responses, including ransomware attacks, business email compromise incidents, and sophisticated social engineering frauds. She regularly supports clients involved in incidents with a Canadian nexus and provides strategic legal advice on a wide range of privacy, data protection, and regulatory compliance matters. Her experience includes navigating multi‑million‑dollar fraudulent transactions and complex cross‑border breach scenarios. She is also developing particular expertise in emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence.

In addition, Yasmine advises insurers on complex coverage matters across a broad range of insurance lines, including commercial general liability, professional liability, directors’ and officers’ liability, employers’ liability, title insurance, and cyber risks. She represents insurers on coverage analysis, policy interpretation, and regulatory compliance, as well as in sophisticated coverage disputes. Yasmine has a strong track record in handling both primary and excess insurance claims and regularly advises national and London market insurers on all Canadian aspects of their business.

Outside of her practice, Yasmine enjoys travelling, painting, and practising ballet.
