Profile

Jonathan is a seasoned commercial and civil litigator with over 20 years of real courtroom experience conducting trials (jury and non-jury), applications, and appeals in Ontario’s Superior Court of Justice, the Commercial List, Divisional Court, and the Ontario Court of Appeal. He has also successfully represented clients in arbitrations and tribunal hearings.

At the forefront of DWF’s Commercial and Civil Litigation practice in Toronto, Ontario, Jonathan has focused primarily on Commercial litigation and Real Estate & Real Property disputes.

For the last several years Jonathan has focused his litigation experience into managing all Canadian litigation for the firm’s Indigenous Practice Group (IPG), providing strategic, culturally informed legal services that support Indigenous self-determination, economic development, and community well-being.  Jonathan and the IPG are involved in high-stakes litigation, including landmark cases involving cumulative impacts and the enforcement of Aboriginal and Treaty rights.
