Akash Bhardwaj

Profile

Akash joined DWF in 2025 with a background in bankruptcy, employment, civil, and commercial litigation. Akash previously practiced and articled at a regional full-service law firm in Calgary. Akash was called to the Alberta Bar in 2025.

Akash appeared in matters before the Court of King’s Bench of Alberta, as well as assisted on matters before the Alberta Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal of Alberta. Akash aims to deliver practical results for his clients.

Akash received his JD from the University of Calgary in 2024. During law school, Akash volunteered with Student Legal Assistance where he developed his passion for advocacy. Additionally, Akash was also a Vice President of the Law Negotiations Club and volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada.  Prior to law school, Akash obtained a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Finance at the University of Calgary.

Outside of work, Akash enjoys playing and watching soccer, working out, and spending time with family, friends, and his Labrador Retriever.
