Profile

Gaynor Yeung, KC joined our team in 1998 and, over a career spanning three decades, has appeared before all levels of British Columbia courts, juries, and specialized administrative tribunals.  She has been consistently recognized by her peers as one of the Best Lawyers® in Canada for her work in both Insurance Law and Personal Injury Litigation.  Gaynor is a well-respected member of the bar who has served three terms as an elected Bencher of the Law Society of BC. In 2024, Gaynor was appointed King’s Counsel.

Gaynor’s litigation experience in an array of specialty areas, representing plaintiffs and defendants, has prepared her well for her current practice as a mediator.  As a result of her technical understanding of a broad range of practice areas, Gaynor brings a confident, intuitive, and compassionate approach to mediation.  She is a sought after speaker on mediation and negotiation theory and has presented at the annual Provincial Court Judges Educational Conference and at programming organized by the Canadian Bar Association, the Trial Lawyers Association of BC, the Vancouver Bar Association, and the Federation of Asian Canadian Lawyers. In 2024, Gaynor was inducted into the Canadian Academy of Distinguished Neutrals.

Gaynor remains an active volunteer in the legal community, participating in pro bono work, providing support through the Lawyers Assistance Program, and mentorship through the Allard School of Law, CBA-BC, and FACL.  Gaynor has been recognized by the Vancouver Bar Association with the prestigious Peter S. Hyndman Mentorship award.

Outside of work, Gaynor enjoys conversations and good food with family and friends, travel, sports movies, and pickleball.
