Sidney Brejak

Profile

Sidney is an effective and strategic litigator who delivers practical solutions to complex disputes, helping his clients navigate high-stakes legal challenges. He has a wide-ranging litigation practice that includes cases involving commercial disputes, commercial host liability, product liability, fraud, contractual disputes, class actions, and arbitration. Sidney also has experience advising clients on cybersecurity and privacy matters, where he assists clients through network compromise, ransomware events, and data breaches. Sidney has represented clients at all levels of court, including the Supreme Court of Canada, and is published in the Canadian Class Action Review, The Advocates Journal, and is a contributor to Civil Practice and Procedure.

Prior to joining DWF, Sidney practiced at a large national firm where he maintained a general civil litigation practice.

Sidney obtained his J.D. from the University of Windsor where he was heavily involved in the mooting program, winning numerous awards for his oral and written advocacy. He also volunteered as a student litigator for Legal Aid Ontario. Before law school, he earned his BASc degree in Biochemistry and Political Science from the University of Guelph.
